FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)

Where are you located?

Our address is 320 Barren Hollow Road, Hurricane Mills, TN.
Our facility is located less than 1/4 mile from Exit 143 off of Interstate 40.
There is a map button at the bottom of each page on our website. You can click that button and it will pull up Maps for you.
How often do you have auctions?

Auctions are held every 2nd and 4th Saturday each month.
Do I need a dealer's license to attend/participate in the auction?

No, you do not have to have a dealer's license. We are open to the public. You must be at least 18 years of age to bid and you must have a valid photo ID.
How do I view inventory?

Click the VIEW INVENTORY button on the home page. That will take you to our online bidding platform (HiBid) where our inventory is listed. If you're looking for a particular vehicle or looking to see what all has a Rebuilt Title, for example, there is a search bar right above the inventory. You can type in "Ford", "Escape", "Rebuilt Title", etc. and it will pull up those results.
You can choose how many lots you can see before you go to the next page and also choose the layout when viewing the inventory and info.
Can I come check out the vehicles before the auction?

Yes. We are open Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm. We recommend coming on Friday before the sale, as the majority of inventory will be on-site by 1 pm. The gate opens at 9 am on auction day and the auction begins at 12 pm. You can start the vehicles up and pull them forward and backward a couple of feet. ABSOLUTELY NO DRIVING ON SALE DAY.
How do I bid online?

Click the "BID ONLINE - REGISTER OR LOGIN" button on the home page. You'll first need to register for an account on our online bidding platform (HiBid), then you'll need to go in and register to bid for this particular auction.
HiBid will ask for card info. They are checking to make sure your card is a legitimate card. They will place a hold for $1 on your card. It is not a charge. It will fall off of your account within a few days.

Do I have to pay the registration deposit to bid?

Yes. We do require a $300 registration deposit to bid in-person and online. If you place the winning bid, the $300 will be applied to your total purchase amount. If you attend in-person and do not place the winning bid, simply return to the office and your $300 will be returned to you.
If you've registered online and did not place the winning bid, your $300 will be refunded, or voided, depending on when you paid the deposit. Your $300 should be back on your card within 5-7 business days after the auction. If there is a holiday during that time period, please allow an additional day due to banks being closed on holidays.
If you pay the deposit by card, there is a 2.4% convenience fee. Unfortunately the 2.4% ($7.20) is non-refundable.
WE CANNOT PULL YOUR REGISTRATION DEPOSIT FROM YOUR CARD ON FILE WITH HIBID.
Do we know the vehicle's history or condition? Does it have keys? Does it run?

We use Auto Check for Auctions to check for mileage discrepancies, flood damage, hail damage, frame/structural damage, salvage title, rebuilt title, etc. We will disclose that info to you in the Notes section under that particular vehicle.

We DO NOT run full history reports. We DO NOT perform inspections. Everything sells AS-IS, WHERE IS. Consumers have access to Auto Check and Car Fax. VINs are listed in the vehicle info. We encourage potential bidders to do their due diligence. Again, Friday before the auction is the best time to inspect vehicles, as the majority of inventory will be on-site by 1pm.

If the vehicle does not have keys or is inoperable it will also be listed in the Notes section of that particular vehicle.

What is a reserve? Does all the inventory have a reserve?

A reserve is the amount the seller is wanting to get out of their item. All items have a reserve unless listed otherwise in the Notes section of that particular item. The Auctioneer will also announce there is no reserve on that particular item.
We do not disclose reserves.
Are there auction fees/buyer premiums?

Yes. The buyer premiums are on a sliding scale. You can find them by clicking on the Pricing section found on the menu or by clicking here.
Can you give me an open title for the vehicle I purchased?

Absolutely not. We follow TN State law. The title will be assigned to the winning bidder.
If I don't have the money to pay for the item(s), can I pay later?

No. Please do not bid if you do not have the funds available to pay for the item(s). Payment is due immediately after purchase or immediately after the auction. We do not finance, as we are an auction.
For more information on purchasing please visit the Purchasing section found on the main menu or click here
